Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind – children, young people and families practitioner (Safe Zone)

You will be a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between VCSE organisations and NHS pathways, working with partners to accept referrals into Safe Zones. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Deliver holistic assessments, de-escalation and prevention of further crisis experience, therapeutic interventions and support for the young person’s wider support network

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Ability to draw upon their knowledge, lived experience and education that informs person-centred and solution focused practice to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and experiences in liaising with other professionals
  • Commitment to providing positive outcomes and achieving organisational aims 
  • Experience in holding a caseload of children and young people
  • Flexible approach, with the ability to respond and adapt to clients self-defined crisis to support de-escalation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships, foster collaboration and communicate empathically with families
