Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind – access and crisis team navigator

About the role

We have an opportunity for a navigator to join the organisation on a fixed term basis. You'll be responsible for:

• Supporting clients with their mental health needs by carrying out initial discussions and providing guided self help services
• Working with clients who present in crisis
• Supporting de-escalation of crisis
• Working in partnership with other services, including adult social care

To be considered for this role, we're looking for someone who:

• Can listen, and ask questions, to understand others and build trust
• Can provide support to others
• Seeks insight, looks for learning opportunities, and grows from experience
• Takes personal responsibility for your development
• Has experience of providing support services to members of the public
• Has experience of working independently to deliver services safely
• Is willing to do training and qualifications relevant to this role
• Has knowledge of emotional wellbeing or mental health issues 
• Understands the approaches used to help people achieve better mental health
