South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind – wellbeing helpline advisor

In this role you'll offer support to those experiencing mental health difficulties via the Wellbeing for Warwickshire Wellbeing Line service. You'll be giving support to people that may require referrals to internal and external services, signposting to a range of organisations and accessing other services delivered across the collaborative.

What you'll do

In this role you'll: 

  • Offer a gateway to support, information and signposting to clinical and non-clinical interventions, with a strong focus on prevention and helping those in crisis
  • Give accurate, meaningful and consistent information to support people assessing the helpline
  • Listen patiently, empathise with the service users' situation and convey a genuine desire to help and support

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience of delivering a service which supports mental health service users
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mental health and key issues linked to good wellbeing
