South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind – telephone helpline practitioner

An exciting opportunity to join our existing Telephone Triage Team. The Triage Practitioner works within set pathways to ensure any caller experiencing mental health distress, as well as relatives or professional callers, get signposted, supported, and referred onwards (where appropriate). This helps ensure the right outcome for each caller. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Answer all telephone calls in an efficient, courteous, professional and non-judgemental manner
  • Effectively manage phone calls from individuals who are in mental health distress, their families or professionals utilising organisational standards, protocols and toolkits
  • Ensure all callers get the correct response by following the appropriate service procedures
  • Effectively manage callers' expectations while providing correct and accurate information

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record of telephone triage or supporting vulnerable individuals by telecommunication
  • Experience of supporting the delivery of mental health support services
  • Experience of data input
  • Experience of working with a wide range of agencies
