Richmond borough – journey recovery hub support worker
About the role
Richmond Borough Mind has been providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for more than 60 years.
Our out-of-hours crisis service, Journey Recovery Hub (JRH), has been running since December 2019.
The service provides support to people experiencing mental health problems. It aims to:
- Prevent escalation
- Reduce isolation
- Increase independence and self-management
- Improve mental health and wellbeing
This is an exciting role in the newly extended service. We're looking for a highly motivated, caring person, who has knowledge and experience of supporting vulnerable adults to increase their independence and develop self-management strategies.
The successful applicants will:
- Have empathy for people with mental health needs
- Be used to working in a team of staff and volunteers
- Have good project management skills
- Be self-motivated
- Be a good communicator
- Prioritise and manage your time effectively
You will work face to face in our Kingston Hub or Richmond Hub. You'll work in shifts over evenings and weekends, including bank holidays. Shifts will be discussed at the interview.
