Richmond Borough Mind – health engagement officer

We're looking for a health engagement officer who can support those living with a diagnosis of severe mental illness to become more independent and able to look after their health.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Support people with severe mental illness to access their annual comprehensive physical health check
• Engage with a cohort of peer support workers for particularly hard to reach cases
• Conduct an outreach programme to reach people with severe mental illness
• Raise awareness about eligibility for people living with severe mental illness

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Great planning, organisational and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work flexibly with service users to remove barriers that people living with severe mental illness encounter when accessing their annual health checks
• Ability to communicate effectively, manage relationships and partnerships
