Richmond Borough Mind – fundraising officer

We're looking for a creative and committed person who can inspire funders, fundraisers and donors to help improve access to mental health services across Richmond.

Richmond Borough Mind is a local and independent charity. That means we're responsible for raising the funds we need to run our services. We've grown from less than £1 million turnover in 2019 to more than £2 million in 2023 and 2024.

We've seen massive growth in our work since the pandemic. In this role, you’ll help us sustain and improve our growing services.  In Richmond we have worrying mental health statistics, particularly in children and young people.

The fundraising officer is a new role for us. You'll:

  • Drive community fundraising and maximise our income through grants
  • Help develop our fundraising strategy across all income streams, including individual giving, corporate, community fundraising, legacy and trusts and foundations

You may already be a successful fundraiser. Or, you might have used your research and analytical skills in another role. Whichever it is, you'll need to be a persuasive storyteller. You’ll have an interest in mental health, and a passion to make a difference.
