Do you have a passion for supporting adults with their mental health and substance misuse? The housing service currently have an opportunity for a weekend support worker based at our homeless accommodation in Gravesend.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Offer one-to-one support and engage with tenants 
  • Maintain, implement, and review support plans and risk assessments in conjunction with tenants
  • Advise and support tenants with a wide range of practical and emotional issues
  • Support long- and short-term tenants with their plans and accessing accommodation
  • Support and work closely with team members to ensure that day to day issues presented by tenants are appropriately dealt with in a timely manner
  • Identify and report any tenancy agreement or service support breaches

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge and experience in the field of mental health and clients with complex needs
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of rough sleepers
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of substance misuse
  • An understanding of the issues, needs and risks affecting people with mental health problems and complex needs
  • An awareness and understanding of housing options and mental health services for residents
  • A non-judgemental attitude to mental health service users
