Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham – young people and parents project worker

We have an opportunity to join our team at Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham as part of our Young People and Parents project. The Ready for Adulthood course is run by a project leader, with the support of project workers. You will also offer a six week programme for parents of young people (aged 11-25) experiencing mental health challenges.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Work flexibly as part of a team
  • Facilitate face to face sessions with young people and online sessions with parents
  • Receive, assess and respond to referrals
  • Maintain accurate records and data for monitoring and reporting purposes

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Empathy
  • Good communication skills
  • The understanding, experience and resilience to work with young people experiencing mental health challenges
  • Flexibility to continue to develop the service
