Mind in Bradford – senior finance officer

Mind in Bradford is looking for a senior finance officer to support the finance manager. You'll lead the day-to-day operational finance functions by providing accurate and timely financial information to meet the needs of the business during a period of rapid growth.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Support the finance manager on the development and review of budgets, management accounts and year end accounting requirements
• Complete the weekly and monthly financial operations within the company,
• Have oversight of day-to-day financial operations within the company
• Process salary and overtime details and deal with any pay queries
• Process monthly journals, including payroll, prepayments and accruals
• Review the monthly balance sheet and report on any discrepancies
• Adhere to the financial policies and procedures for the company
• Develop and maintain effective financial processes and systems

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• A high level of numeracy and financial awareness
• Oversight of an accounting package, for example QuickBooks or Sage
• Experience in a similar role
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Excellent organisational skills
• A desire to work in a fast-paced environment and to a consistently high standard
