Mind in Bradford – community wellbeing worker

Mind in Bradford is seeking a Community Wellbeing Worker to deliver support that empowers children and young people facing social, emotional, and mental wellbeing challenges. This role focuses on offering one-to-one and group support, both in-person and through various channels. We're looking for an individual with a proven track record in engagement strategies and a passion for mental health.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Offer one-to-one and group support to children and young people from a range of backgrounds with varying degrees of mental health difficulties
  • Travel regularly to a variety of educational, community and youth offending settings across the district
  • Complete individual assessments with children and young people and use these to set goals, develop session plans and deliver tailored packages of support using a flexible, goal-based, child-led approach
  • Record information electronically and maintain accurate, up to date records in a timely way
  • Work effectively with co-workers and engage in partnership and multi-agency working
  • Motivate and encourage client engagement, participation, voice and influence

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • A passion for mental health and the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Experience working with children in a non-clinical capacity, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment
  • An empathetic and person-centred approach, promoting the overall growth and development of individuals
  • Proven ability to inspire positive change and encourage resilience in challenging situations
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative and multi-agency working, recognising the interconnectedness of support services
