Mind in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes – supported self-help practitioner
We're looking for a practitioner to work on our supported self-help service.
You'll work with clients on a 1-2-1 basis, guiding them through materials that will help them to understand and manage their feelings.
You'll do a detailed assessment where you'll discuss their needs. And you'll support the client to identify the pathway which might help them most. There are 8 pathways – anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, feeling alone, managing anger, grief and loss, and menopause.
What you'll do
You'll:
- Work with people to over come early signs of mental health distress
- Deliver effective service that meets structural targets
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key partner agencies and programme staff
About you
We're looking for someone who can motivate people to engage in self-help activities.
You'll be able to assess client needs, suitability and potential risk and make appropriate referrals.
You'll have good interpersonal skills and be able to form productive relationships.
