Leeds Mind – chair of trustees

Leeds Mind depend on our Board of Trustees who volunteer their time to ensure that we are effectively governed and led in order to meet our mission of better mental health for all. We are looking for a new Chair who will oversee our Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership Team on a voluntary basis.

What you'll do

In this role you will:

• Be willing and able to lead Leeds Mind in partnership with the Chief Executive
• Create an environment for a high performing Board team
• Provide leadership to Leeds Mind and the Board and ensure that everyone remains focused on the delivery of the organisation’s charitable purposes
• Chair and facilitate Board meetings
• Chair the Remuneration Committee annual meeting
• Delegate to the Vice-Chair and Trustees as appropriate

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience of operating at a senior strategic leadership level – voluntary, public or private sector
• Experience of charity governance and/or working as part of a Board of Trustees
• Commitment to excellence with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement
• Commitment to improving mental health support
