Dorset Mind – active monitoring practitioner
We have an exciting new opportunity in the Adult Services team at Dorset Mind. We're looking for Active Monitoring Practitioners in Weymouth and Portland to deliver early intervention for people over the age of 11 experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Raise awareness within communities about mental ill health
- Educate people about symptoms
- Challenge the stigma and inequalities around mental ill health
- Promote the ethos of recovery from mental ill health
- Promote positive wellbeing and early intervention methodologies
- Help with networking and promoting Active Monitoring and other Dorset Mind services
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant qualification for the role, for example NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Familiarity with the vision and mission of Dorset Mind and the Mind network
- Knowledge of the issues of supporting people with a range of mental health issues, including risk assessment and mental health recovery
- Ability to offer various pathway options and promote client autonomy
- Ability to identify and manage risk incidents
- Good IT skills and ability to carry out a range of office tasks accurately and without supervision
