Coventry and Warwickshire Mind – crisis helpline team leader
The helpline is a 24/7 service aimed at children and young people (CYP) living in Coventry and Warwickshire. As a Team Leader you'll provide support to the Coventry and Warwickshire Mind staff working on the helpline, alongside the Team Leader/Service Manager within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Work alongside our partner organisations to help the team provide a gateway to support, information and signposting to clinical and non-clinical interventions
- Lead on the distribution and management of individual workers' caseloads in the Crisis Helpline service
- Work alongside the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Team Leader and Service Manager to ensure the provision of the crisis helpline service
- Ensure that staff maintain the Carenotes system through accurate data input and record keeping
- Ensure that your knowledge of local communities and organisations is kept up-to-date and that you utilise this knowledge to ensure appropriate and timely referral
- Build and maintain effective relationships with professionals and other agencies
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven track record of line management/leadership
- Experience of working with a wide range of agencies
- Proven experience of delivering a service which provided a supporting role to mental health service users
- Experience of working with children, young people and their families
- Experience of providing telephone, online, email and live chat information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills
- Up to date knowledge of mental health, safeguarding and key issues linked to good wellbeing
- Strong commitment to empowering service users
- Access to a vehicle
- Ability to travel to venues across Coventry and Warwickshire and willingness to work in different community and partnership buildings
