Coventry and Warwickshire Mind – counselling and trauma support service manager

We're seeking an individual with substantial experience in managing, leading, and supporting staff to deliver a variety of therapeutic mental health and wellbeing service activities. This role involves active participation in enhancing the success of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind’s existing service provision, with the aim of improving access to mental health and wellbeing support for its residents.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Working within a person-centred, trauma-informed approach
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for those accessing venues
  • Identify and provide flexible support approaches tailored to individual emerging needs
  • Offer creative, flexible and accessible one-to-one and group mental health and wellbeing interventions
  • Collaborate and liaise with key stakeholders to facilitate service referrals
  • Manage of staffing teams to manage day-to-day activities including those associated with emerging service user crisis situations

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven track record of line management and leadership (2 years minimum)
  • Experience of delivering mental health support services
  • Experience of developing, delivering and project managing services
  • Ability to develop and deliver a person-centred approach to assess, plan and review individuals’ needs
  • Commitment to working within a framework that recognises the diversity of service users and encourages equality and opportunity for all
  • Knowledge and understanding of the challenges that face vulnerable people in taking control of their lives
  • Access to a vehicle as means of transport to venues across Coventry and Warwickshire
  • Flexible approach to evening and weekend working
  • Relevant leadership and management qualification
  • Recognised professional level 4 qualification or equivalent, or up to date registration in one of the following professions: occupational therapy, social work, nursing, psychology, counselling
