The postholder will lead and support a team of community engagement workers embedded within grassroots organisations, ensuring they deliver high-quality, community-led interventions.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Lead, support, and develop a team of community engagement workers, ensuring high-quality, culturally responsive mental health support is delivered across grassroots organisations
- Strengthen partnerships with grassroots and provider organisations, fostering collaboration to enhance access, reduce stigma, and improve service delivery for ethnically and culturally diverse communities
- Ensure strategic alignment with the programme’s mission and goals, keeping the team focused on delivering measurable outcomes that improve mental health access and reduce inequalities
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- Extensive experience in community engagement and outreach, building trust, fostering participation, and empowering diverse communities to shape services
- Proven project management skills, ensuring coordinated, community-informed service delivery across organisations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creating safe spaces, bridging gaps between services, and advocating for culturally competent support
- A proactive and compassionate approach to mental health, using community engagement to drive early intervention, reduce stigma, and improve accessibility
