What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Make direct contact with Eastern European communities to raise awareness of mental health issues, while also seeking to address associated stigma
  • Facilitate the organisation of consultation events, forums and social events to enable people from Eastern European backgrounds to participate and make service providers aware of mental health challenges
  • Promote greater involvement from Eastern European communities in planning and developing mental health services
  • Support the creation of safe spaces, self-help groups, and initiatives led by individuals from these communities experiencing mental health challenges

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in community engagement, outreach, or similar roles, particularly working with diverse or underrepresented communities
  • A strong understanding of Eastern European cultures, with the ability to speak one or more Eastern European languages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and build meaningful connections
