Networking, events and webinars

Our Regional Networks, events calendar and webinar series offer the opportunity to share good practice, resources, training and relevant updates, from local, regional and national level.

Regional Networks

We've created eight Regional Networks in England to that bring together sport, physical activity and mental health organisations from a local to regional level. The Networks work to increase the number of groups within their region who are equipped with the skills to support and engage people experiencing mental health problems in physical activity.

Mental Health in Sport & Physical Activity Conference

Our Conference, held on 13 October 2021, showcased new research, learnings and good practice from the world of both sport and mental health to celebrate the positive impact made over the past 6 years. Key themes from guest speakers included how the sector can empower more people to be physically active as a way to support their mental health and how we can address the current mental health crisis helping people to recover and stay well.

At Mind, we work with a number of partners on national campaigns to promote awareness and understanding of mental health and to encourage individuals to become physically active. Our current campaigns include:

EFL #OnYourSide partnership: In 2018, we launched our game changing partnership with the English Football League (EFL). We want to show everyone within the football community that Mind are always #OnYourSide.

We Are Undefeatable: We are part of 15 leading health and social care charities that have launched a national campaign and movement to inspire and support people with long-term health conditions to be active.

ASICS partnership: We've partnered with sports company ASICS to support more people to get active for their wellbeing. The partnership funds Mind’s research into mental health in sport.
