'Strictly Come Dancing' star Camilla Dallerup took time out from starring in hit musical 'Calendar Girls' as she waltzed into the Veolia Environmental Services Nottingham offices to conduct Mind’s Spring Raffle draw.
Camilla, who won the Strictly... title in 2008 with partner Tom Chambers, was joined by her former Hollyoaks star husband Kevin Sacre as she showed local Veolia recycling and waste management staff some of her best dance steps before conducting the draw, which had been promoted by Veolia as part of their charity of the year partnership with Mind.
Making the draw, Camilla said:
It was great to meet the local Veolia staff who are doing so much to help people with mental health problems through their partnership with Mind. They put their best feet forward with a few dance steps and are certainly doing the same with their fundraising!
Steve Mitchell, Regional Director from Veolia Environmental Services said:
We have had a great time being shown a few steps by Camilla, although I think I’ll be leaving the dancing to the professionals from now on! I’m delighted that she came down to support Veolia’s partnership with Mind. All our sites have been busy selling raffle tickets to our staff up and down the country, and we plan to do more fundraising to raise vital funds for this great cause.
The Spring Raffle had a top prize of £4,000 amd provides a vital source of income with the money raised helping to keep the infoline and other vital services running. The next Mind raffle takes place in Autumn.
Veolia Environmental Services is the UK’s leading recycling and waste management company, employing over 12,000 people across the country. They provide efficient and sustainable recycling and waste management solutions to thousands of businesses and a third of the country’s population. They are aiming to raise £100,000 through their charity of the year partnership with Mind.
