Charity ball raises £10,000 for Mind

The Denise Welch charity fundraising ball in November raised an amazing £10K for Mind's work. The funds raised will support Mind’s work, including our unique Legal Line service which empowers callers to take control of their lives and stand up for their rights. Mind’s legal service is the only one of its kind in England offering legal advice and information on mental health-related law including mental health, mental capacity, community care, human rights and discrimination/equality issues related to mental health.

The event at Old Trafford Cricket Ground was shared with over 700 guests, many of whom were dressed head-to-toe in psychedelic Sixties gear! Celebrity guests included included Loose Women’s Lisa Maxwell, Sherrie Hewson, Zoe Tyler and Kate Thornton; Coronation Street stars Tina O’Brien, Sally Dynevor, Shobna Gulati, Gaynor Faye, Phil Middlemiss, Alison King, Simon Gregson and Angela Lonsdale along with Rula Lenska, Heartbeat’s Tricia Penrose; Hollyoaks’ actress Jennifer Metcalfe.
