Protest calls for Gordon to keep his prescription promise!

Posted: Tuesday 2 February 2010

Prescription charges protest photoOn 1 February, campaigners gathered outside Parliament to tell Gordon Brown that it's time to keep his prescription promise.

In 2008, Gordon Brown promised to scrap prescription charges for all those with long term conditions. Mind is part of the Prescription Charges Coaition that is calling for this promise to be fulfilled as a matter of urgency.

In addition to the protesters, over two hundred people - including many Mind supporters - took part in a mass phone call to the Prime Minister's office to ask Gordon Brown when he will deliver on his promise.

You can help by sending your own personal message to the Prime Minister (choose the 'Contact the Prime Minister's office' category). You can also support the campaign by going to www.prescriptionpromise.org and emailing your MP.
