BBC Headroom making you smile
Posted Friday 9 October 2009
BBC Headroom is urging the nation to smile its way to better mental wellbeing tomorrow at events it's holding at it's city centre big screens in Norwich, Portsmouth, Hull, Waltham Forest, Swansea and Edinburgh. At each of the events the BBC will be asking the public 'What makes you smile?' as research shows that smiling relieves stress, boosts the immune system, lowers blood pressure and releases endorphins. There will be lots of audience participation activities on offer including laughter yoga and an interactive big screen game.
Time to Change's Get Moving is also teaming up with the BBC. There will be performances from local Time to Change ambassadors, from drumming to space hopper fun.
