Mind charity shops
Mind shops are a vital presence in over 100 communities around England and Wales, selling donated goods like clothing, books and home wares.
Our shops almost exclusively sell goods donated by the public, so rely heavily on the generosity of their local communities to make them profitable. We also sell selected items through our eBay shop.
The money raised by Mind shops is an invaluable source of funding for our work. As part of Mind's commitment to the work done by the local Mind associations, over 20 per cent of the money raised by our shops goes directly to support their work in England and Wales. The rest of the shops' proceeds fund our critical work such as fighting the stigma experienced by people with experience of mental distress.
A fixture on our high streets since 1961, Mind shops are supported by a dedicated band of volunteers. Over 1,300 volunteers weekly give up some of their spare time to help with all the jobs that need to done such as sorting, steaming and pricing clothing and making sales.
