Brent Mind runs a range of services including:
Brent Mind Rainbow which provides a support group for women over fifty who may feel isolated or need someone to talk to about issues in their lives. The group provides the opportunity to take part in a range of activities including outings and arts and crafts.
Horizon Drop In is a regular session run by Brent Mind for people who have mental health needs. The session offers the chance to socialise and get involved with activities including discussions and art sessions. Horizon Drop In is open on Tuesday, 4pm to 7pm
Mind Brent Befriending Service offers befriending for people who are experiencing mental health difficulties, and who feel lonely and socially isolated. The service offers individual, group and telephone befriending.
We offer two types of counselling: Low Cost and GP-Referral. The Low Cost service is open to anyone who can travel to Brent and is able to pay a fee. The GP-Referral service is free of charge for anyone who can be referred by a Brent GP. Brent Mind offers one to one counselling for people living in Brent. The service is currently provided by 24 volunteer counsellors. We work within the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Mind Map is a young people's project that raises awareness and promotes positive attitudes towards mental health. We work with various other organisations to ensure that young people have access to all the information and support they need to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.
