Lots of us already know how great it can feel to get out into green spaces and take some exercise. Add to that the chance to achieve your goals, and raise money to change the lives of people experiencing mental health problems, and you have a truly wonderful day.
Mind are delighted to be involved once again for the 2012 Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, and hopes to have another fantastic team of runners taking part.
This event involves running one of the few half marathons in London, taking in the stunning route through our leafy royal parks, and passing many famous sites of our capital city.
I feel privileged to have taken part - the support from the Mind team blew me away, it really made the day very special.
Whether you've managed to gain your own place through the ballot, or secure one of Mind's charity places, we will be with you every step of the way.
We pride ourselves on giving everyone who joins Team Mind the support, inspiration and admiration they deserve!
Our support includes:
The first 20 people sponsored me between £10 and £20 - and before I knew it I'd raised £350, so I kept going! It felt amazing to raise funds for a cause I feel so strongly about.
Join our wonderful team in 2012! Mind has a number of guaranteed charity places and we'd love for you to join us. You'll need to pay a registration fee of £30 (including VAT) and commit to raising a minimum of £350 (not including Gift Aid). Sign up today!
Running feels great, but running for Mind feels even better. If you've been lucky enough to secure your own place in the event, we'd love you to join us.
We will offer you all of our wonderful support listed above, but we won't ask you to raise a minimum level of sponsorship - your help, and any funds you raise for Mind will be gratefully received.
If you require further information please contact the Mind events team, or call 0871 872 1144.
