Are you an employer?
The business case for investing in mental wellbeing at work is now well established and innovative employers, large and small, are leading the way.
Despite growing awareness, eight in 10 companies have no mental health policy to help staff sustain good mental health (Shaw Trust, 2010).
We need your stories of best practice
In 2011, Mind’s campaign aims to move the agenda on from awareness to action, bringing benefits for businesses at a time when financial prudence is more important than ever and staff are your greatest asset.
As part of this, we need to demystify mental health and give employers practical examples of how they can promote mental wellbeing at work and ensure managers are equipped to support staff experiencing difficulties.
Show us the benefits
Most importantly, we want to show the business benefits of making mental health in the workplace a priority and how much employers can save through reduced absence and staff turnover and increased productivity.
Mind is gathering case studies from employers who have implemented initiatives to address the mental wellbeing of staff and are now reaping the rewards. These will be used as part of materials and advice Mind provides for employers and to make a tangible business case for action.
