Dark Side of the Moon

A Pink Floyd inspired concert

On Thursday 24 May 2012, Mind Trustee and Deloitte Partner, John Binns, held a Pink Floyd inspired concert and charity auction to raise money for Mind.

John and his musician friends performed covers of a selection of Pink Floyd's greatest hits. Just like the super group, John and his band bought the house down and the audience enjoyed an enlivening evening of music and rock and roll theatrics.

But the night had a more serious purpose too, to raise funds to help people affected by mental health problems. This is a cause close to John's heart as a Trustee of Mind and leader of the Workability Network at Deloitte, which supports staff who have physical disabilities or mental health problems.

Through ticket sales and a charity auction hosted by Sotherby's, with lots including a trip to Paris and the hire of a Maserati for the weekend, the event raised a fantastic £9,640! Each year, tens of thousands of people contact the Mind infoline seeking help for a mental health problem; a donation of this size could help us support up to 1,600 of these callers.

We need your help to reach our £10,000 target, so please make a donation if you can help. Thank you!
