It can also bring real benefit to your company in terms of brand awareness and exposure.
Mental ill health affects people from all walks of life and has wide-ranging consequences for individuals, their families and friends. With 13.2 million people affected in any one year in Britain, this is an issue very likely to touch or include colleagues or employees.
As the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, Mind is trusted by millions as a reliable and independent source of information and support. Our supporter base is large, and we have a strong high street presence with over 100 shops throughout England and Wales. We have national offices in London and Cardiff plus more than 180 local Mind associations offering support, advice and training.
In July 2009, 43 Which? staff took part in the Irish Three Peaks Challenge, raising more than £11k for Mind. We chose Mind for its sterling work campaigning for better mental health and for its promotion of a better understanding of these issues. What better way to raise funds and awareness than through physical exercise, which is proven to ease mental health conditions for some people. But it wasn't just Mind that benefited from this challenge.
The whole experience brought Which? staff together in a positive and meaningful way - from the teamwork that was so much a part of the challenge itself, to the fundraising efforts that galvanised staff across the organisation.
When you choose to support Mind, our experienced account manager will work with you to develop tailored plans to meet the needs of your organisation, ensure a beneficial partnership and enable your support to really make a difference.
