How should the mental health needs of men be met?

Mind and the Men’s Health Forum have been commissioned by the National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU) to write a guide on how to meet the mental health needs of men. The guide will be published in the late summer 2010 and will be a direct follow-up to Untold Problems: a review of the essential issues in the mental health of men and boys (due for publication on 24 February).

Before we write the guide, we want to know what you think about the issue. What do you think should be in the guide? For example, why do you think men are less likely to seek help? How do you think services could be made more male-friendly? What interventions do you think are most effective with men?

You can write as much or as little as you like. We promise to read and consider what you have to say.

  • If you submit your email address, we'll keep you up to date on the progress of the guide.
