The Government’s mental health strategy
In 2011 the Government published a strategy, No Health Without Mental Health, setting out their plans to improve people’s mental health and wellbeing in England, and the services and support you are able to access.
We then worked with the Government, Centre for Mental Health, NHS Confederation Mental Health Network, Rethink Mental Illness and Turning Point to develop a practical document setting out concrete actions that a wide range of organisations can take so that this mental health strategy becomes a reality, this was called the Mental Health Implementation Framework.
Making it happen
Now we want to make sure that everyone can use the implementation framework to improve their local services. Working with the Afiya Trust, National Survivor User Network and Rethink Mental Illness, Mind has produced a guide No decision about us without us that explains how you can help to turn the mental health strategy into reality.
