Funding scheme now closed

Opportunities for Volunteering – application round now closed

The preliminary application round for organisations seeking funding for the 2009-2011 cycle of Mind’s Opportunities for Volunteering (OFV) scheme is now closed.

If your preliminary application arrived at Mind by 4:30pm on Friday 29 August, your application will be considered for short listing during September. Applicants will be notified of outcomes in October. The scheme is frequently oversubscribed and so it is likely that some viable applications may not be funded.

Successful applicants will receive the Department of Health OFV application form from Mind during October. This must be submitted before the final closing date of 10 November 2008. For successful applicants, funding may commence on 1 April 2009.

Aims and operation of the OFV scheme

The OFV scheme helps Mind and 15 other national agents to make funding available to voluntary organisations to help create volunteer projects.

The scheme operates in England only and is not available in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

For further enquiries regarding this scheme, please visit the Department of Health website.

For information on Mind’s operation of the scheme contact John Mason, OFV Liaison Officer (Grants Unit). E-mail: j.mason@mind.org.uk
