Journalism award nominations close Friday 11 April

Operational note

Nominations for Mind's journalist of the year award close on Friday 11 April 2008.

The award promotes and rewards excellence in reporting on mental health, challenging discrimination, and contributing to public understanding of mental distress. Entries are welcome from journalists writing in the national, local, or consumer press. The judges are keen to see pieces that deal with the experience of emotional distress in its widest interpretation and create a deeper public understanding of mental health.

Articles published between 14 April 2007 and 11 April 2008 are eligible.

The award will be presented at Mind’s annual awards event in mid-May.
