Mind Comments on the Government's Comprehensive Spending Review

Leading mental health charity Mind comments today (Wednesday 10 October) on the Government's Comprehensive Spending Review

Paul Farmer, Chief Executive of mental health charity Mind, said:

"Here's the victory that service users have been waiting for for so long. We are delighted that on World Mental Health Day, this significant breakthrough in mental health care has occurred, meaning that finally people will be getting the help they want when they are most in need. For years, people have been telling us that talking treatments can mean all the difference between mental wellbeing and mental distress. The Government's pledge will transform the lives of people with mental health problems, which is a testament to all the people who have campaigned so hard on this for so many years."
