Woman child By Yin Hau

Woman Child
by Miss Yin Hau

A doll with two sides showing the duality of two stages of recovery from child abuse. The red side has a secret compartment in her chest containing a small tissue paper child with pins sticking in it. This represents the abused child within her. The other side of the doll, Grey face also has a secret, a phoenix on her chest suggesting rebirth and hope and moving on. In making the illness visible, the survivor can slay the demons from within to help with recovery.
