About the challenge
The Great North Run is the world's biggest half marathon, with over 45,000 people taking to the streets of Gateshead.

Our support
Whether you are a seasoned runner or a first-timer, Mind will be with you every step of the way. We offer all our runners a fantastic support package including:
- loads of training and fundraising advice
- regular email updates
- a Mind running vest with your name overprinted
- a dedicated and experienced project manager who will provide information and support in the run up to your event
- A fantastic post race reception for you and your supporters.
We will do all that we can to ensure that your Great North Run experience is one you will never forget.
Gaining a place
There are two ways in which you can join the Mind team:
1. Each year Mind have a number of guaranteed places in the event and if you would like to run on one of these we ask that you pay a registration fee of £25 and raise a minimum sponsorship of £325.
2. If you were lucky enough to gain your own place from the event organisers we would love you to be a part of our team too. We do not set you a minimum sponsorship target but ask you raise what you can.
