What is Mind Link?
About Mind Link
Mind Link is a network of people who have personally experienced mental distress. This network informs and influences Mind’s work through a range of opportunities such as focus groups, questionnaires, interviews, sharing stories.
Mind works for better mental health for everyone. This means that Mind works for a full life free from injustice and inequality for all who experience mental distress.
Mind can only do this because Mind Link informs what Mind does and ensures that Mind knows what the real issues are for individuals experiencing distress.
Mental distress can affect anyone and Mind Link is keen to ensure that people from all backgrounds and walks of life can join and take part. People cope with distress in different ways, some cope alone while others may seek support from a GP and be prescribed medication, others will turn to complementary or creative therapies and some use psychiatric services. This diversity makes Mind Link a rich and unique network of people who have experienced mental distress with a wealth of different experiences to inform Mind’s work.
