The All Wales Rural Stress Forum
Mind Cymru is part of the above network which tackles the issues of rural stress.
Wales Alliance for Mental Health
This is a coalition of National Mental Health voluntary organisations established to promote mental health in Wales and, in particular, to promote collaboration in the mental health voluntary sector. The Alliance is comprised of the following national voluntary sector organisations who have a primary focus on mental health:
Hafal, Alzheimer's Society, MDF the Bipolar Organisation Cymru, US Network, AWETU, Depression Alliance Cymru, Doctors Support Network (Wales), Cymar, Gofal Cymru, Combat Stress, Churches Counselling Service in Wales (CCSW), IGER/RSIN and MHAW (Mental Health Action Wales).
Associate members of WAMH are: Cruse Cymru and Wales Mental Health in Primary Care.
Wales Disability Reference Group
Mind Cymru is part of Wales Disability Reference Group, the other four organisations are:
The group meets regularly to discuss and agree the way forward on issues affecting people with disabilities in Wales.
An identifiable disability rights movement has only emerged in Wales relatively recently. There is a strong tradition of community-based, self-help, and impairment-specific groups, but not many are led by disabled people. The most notable exception is the Cardiff and Vale Coalition of Disabled People.
Wales Domestic Abuse helpline
This is an organisation that supports women, children and men suffering from Domestic Abuse. They have a 24 hour helpline. For more information, visit http://walesdomesticabusehelpline.org
